How much does an appraisal cost?

An appraisal starts at $55 CAD plus the applicable taxes.

Who does the appraisals?

Our appraisals are done by a GIA-Certified appraiser.

Where are the appraisals done?

Our appraisals are completed in our store and do not leave the premises.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Our appraiser requires appointments for appraisals so that they can give you and your special items their undivided attention. Please contact our store directly to book an appointment.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Please bring any previous invoices, appraisals, or certificates that you may have.

How long will the appointment take?

The length of your appointment will vary depending on the number of items and complexity of your items.

Can appraisals be done while I wait?

Appraisals on approximately 2-4 pieces can be done while you wait, depending on the complexity of the items. Five or more pieces will need to be left at our store to be completed. You can expect the appraisals to be completed within five business days.

What does the appraisal process entail?

To complete an appraisal, we first assess the item and its materials. If items can be washed, we will do so, with your permission, to ensure that we can properly evaluate the item. The appraisal will include a photo, current replacement value (exclusive of HST), and a full description of the item.

Will stones be removed from my jewellery?

No, we do not remove any stones from your pieces during the appraisal process. We estimate their weights and quality in their respective settings.

Do you do appraisals on watches?

We can complete appraisals on certain brands. We are unable to complete appraisals on Rolex watches or offer authentications. Please contact our store directly for more information.
